Overview of the Project
Welcome to the first devlog of Infernal Siege!
This is a game that combines action and strategy in a high-tension isometric setting, where the player must defend a sacred church from infernal hordes while uncovering the true role of a mysterious character—initially believed to be a witch but revealed to be a divine envoy.
The game blends horde defense and tower defense genres, offering intense challenges, real-time strategy, and an immersive narrative exploring the battle between good and evil.
The First Step: Concept and Creative Direction
The initial focus of development was to establish a strong visual and narrative theme. Infernal Siege is inspired by gothic and religious motifs, balancing dark elements (demons and fire) with hope (divine light and the church's protection).
We chose an isometric perspective to provide a clear view of the battlefield, allowing players to strategize their actions effectively. This style also enhances immersion by showcasing detailed environments and epic battles.

In the upcoming devlogs, we will explore:
- The creation of the first level, detailing the level design and the challenges the player will face.
- The introduction of enemies and their combat mechanics.
- The defensive strategies and the player’s role in building the resistance.
Additionally, we’ll share sneak peeks of the development process, including 3D assets, concept art, and gameplay progress.
